Please join us Friday, September 27 at 5:3 pm for the dedication of our beautiful new sukkah. We want to thank Elizabeth and Justin James and their family for caring so much about our community and our traditions. Our new sukkah is a great upgrade from our old one and we are so thankful to have members who stepped forward to lend their expertise and support in accomplishing this. Please come and honor them with us.

One evening, Goldie Markowitz left dinner in the oven for a little bit too long and the kitchen filled with smoke -- the smoke detector went off. Goldie searched the house for her children only to find them in the bathroom, washing their hands.
Over the loud buzzing of the smoke alarm, Goldie asked them to identify the sound.
"It's the smoke detector," they replied in unison.
"Do you know what that sound means?" Goldie demanded.
"Sure,” they replied. "Dinner's ready."
Members may sponsor a kiddush in honor or memory of a friend or loved one, to celebrate a simcha, an anniversary, or a milestone, or for virtually any reason at all.
All meals served at synagogue, of course, are strictly kosher.
