The Goldberg family was having Friday night dinner at their grandmother’s house – Bobbie Adella. Seated around the table little Moishe Goldberg dug into the food immediately. "Moishe!” his mother exclaimed. “You have to wait until we make the blessing." "No, I don't," the little boy replied. "Of course, you do," his mother insisted, "we always say a blessing before eating at our house." "That's at our house," Moishe explained, "but this is Bobbie’s house and she knows how to cook."
Members may sponsor a kiddush in honor or memory of a friend or loved one, to celebrate a simcha, an anniversary, or a milestone, or for virtually any reason at all.
All meals served at synagogue, of course, are strictly kosher.
