COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS Per CDC guidelines, we are still requiring face coverings be worn during all services held inside.
We will continue to offer outdoor options for kiddush.
If you arrive and do not have a face covering we are happy to provide you with one.
Etta and Stewart Donnell are sponsoring the kiddush on Saturday, November 27th in honor of their fourth great-grandchild, Maytal Nina.
Dear Rodeph Family,
As you are aware, the Board of Directors recently conducted a survey to gauge the feeling of the congregation as to whether or not to continue the search for a new rabbi. The results of the survey, which showed a 70% response rate, showed that a majority of the congregation wished to discontinue the search. The results concluded by a vote of 69% to 23% a desire to bring the search to a close and present Rabbi-Cantor Kornworcel to the congregation for approval to be our next rabbi.
The Rodeph Sholom bylaws state that a formal approval by the congregation must take place at an in-person congregational meeting. All members in good standing present at this meeting will be eligible to cast a written vote. A simple majority of those present at the meeting will decide the outcome.
If the decision is to approve Rabbi-Cantor Kornworcel as the next rabbi of Rodeph Sholom, then the Board will enter into contract negotiations.
If the decision is not to approve Rabbi-Cantor Kornworcel, then the Rabbi Search Committee will reconvene and continue its efforts to find an acceptable candidate.
