Michael and Barbara Fischler Michael and his wife Barbara recently moved to Tampa from Frisco, Texas with their dog Watson. Mike and Barbara have two children, Caroline (23) who still lives in Frisco and Alex (25) who lives in New York. Michael, who grew up on Long Island, NY, graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) where he earned a BSBA and Barbara graduated from the University of South Carolina where she earned a PhD in Linguistics. Michael is CEO of ThinkEDU, LLC. As empty nesters, we are enjoying our new life in Tampa and our condo up the road at the Virage on Bayshore. We look forward to meeting you.
Big changes to our Streaming Services. Many of you are familiar with using Zoom and many are familiar with viewing services via Livestream. We have been working hard to give you the best of both. In the next few weeks, the quality you see on Livestream will be incorporated into our Zoom services. This coming Shabbat, January 23, 2021, we are giving you the option to view the service on either platform, just click the link below to see the Livestream version. The current Zoom service will also be available for you to view. We are always improving on our systems please take the time to view, we hope to see everyone soon.
Based on our recent survey, we will be doing a 30 minute monthly open forum for member questions/comments. Our next Question Time is Monday, January 25th at 5:30 pm. This month we will have a special guest speaker, Executive Director Ken Kahn!
Peter Bendix was promoted to vice president of baseball development in October 2019 and begins his 12th season with the Rays. In this role, Peter assists in all aspects of baseball operations, including player evaluation, roster management, long-term thinking and helping to oversee the day-to-day functions of the department. He spent the past four seasons as director of baseball development, serving as a liaison for baseball research and development to all other aspects of the organization, with a primary focus on the major league club. He first joined the Rays as an intern in January 2009, and was later promoted to assistant of baseball operations and coordinator of baseball research and development. Peter played baseball and tennis while growing up outside of Cleveland, and claims to be an excellent ping-pong player. He earned a degree in American studies from Tufts University and wrote for several publications before joining the Rays. He and his wife, Lauren, live in St. Petersburg.
