Joshua Ackman M.A.J.E. is thrilled to be joining the Rodeph Sholom family as the new Education Director! Joshua has a Master's Degree in Jewish Education from the Baltimore Hebrew Institute at Towson University (formerly Baltimore Hebrew University), a Graduate Certificate in Experiential Israel Education from George Washington University, and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Central Florida (CHARGE ON!). As a youth, he was a member of USY and BBYO, having also worked for both as well as a former Summer Camp Director. He is looking forward to bringing his experiences and creating meaningful Jewish experiences for all our synagogue families! Joshua joins us with his wife, Christine, and is expecting their first child in November.
Maci Morse came to Tampa in August, 2020 from Jacksonville, Florida, where she worked as an advocate for middle school families in a lower socioeconomic part of town for Jewish Family and Community Services. Maci earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Florida State University in Social Work. Between achieving these degrees, Maci worked as a gun violence prevention advocate in Miami Beach. She also has several years of experience as an Assistant Teacher in Jewish preschools, as well as a religious school teacher. Maci grew up in Kadima and USY, participating on various boards, and then staffing events and conventions as an adult. She is excited to be able to join Rodeph Sholom to help the current youth have amazing Jewish experiences like she did growing up.
