The
Rodeph Sholom 20s30s is a group of young professionals who reside in
the
Tampa Bay area. Singles, couples and young marrieds meet regularly throughout
the year for social activities including Shabbat dinners, sports events
and brunches. They also host a community-wide Chanukah party as well
as
a Purim Masquerade Bash. Members and non-members are welcome to participate
in all Rodeph 20s30s activities.
Chavurah
At Rodeph Sholom, we strive to build friendships inside and outside of the synagogue. The word “Chavurah” comes from the Hebrew word “Chaver” which means friend. A Chavurah is a group of adults, families, couples or singles who meet monthly, with or without children, to share Jewish life experiences in an “extended family” type setting. It is a small friendship group of members, consisting of approximately 15 to 20 people.
A Chavurah helps to create strong bonds within the synagogue by creating "extended families" to share special and meaningful times together. Typically, groups meet in members' homes or at other places such as museums, restaurants or the synagogue. Chavurah activities may include Shabbat dinner and services, dining out, Jewish holiday celebration, life cycle events, book reviews or study groups.
To get involved in a Chavurah, click on the Application, fill it out and return it to the synagogue. Based on the information in your application, the Chavurah Committee will place you in a group that is most appropriate to your needs and interests.
