Congregation Rodeph Sholom is a warm and welcoming congregation. We have approximately 550 member families who reside throughout many neighborhoods in the Tampa Bay area, both in Hillsborough and Pinellas county communities. We are an egalitarian, Conservative synagogue, with a longstanding “100-year-young” history, located on Bayshore Boulevard in the heart of South Tampa.

Rodeph Sholom has a full scope of educational, social and religious activities geared toward all age groups in the congregation, ranging from Rodeph Rugrats and Tot Shabbat for our youngest members, to programming for our young adults in the 20-40-year old category, to Hazak – our social group for mature adults. We have special family religious and educational programs throughout the year to enrich our congregants’ holiday celebration experience. Rodeph Sholom families also participate in our unique Neighborhood Shabbat Program, where a family hosts several other congregants who live in their neighborhood for a potluck, Shabbat dinner.

Our membership philosophy is a simple one: to ensure membership at Rodeph Sholom is available for all who want to become a part of our family. We are fortunate to have many member families in our congregation who are Chai contributors – they voluntarily give over and above the standard dues to help us ensure the success of this philosophy.
