Caring Committee
The Caring Committee wants to help your loved one/friend who is a shut in by providing conversation and company. Please contact Caring Committee Chairman, Marilyn Wittner directly or through the Synagogue office to arrange for a visit.
WANTED!
One congregant who is willing to spend approximately 8-10 hours a year doing mitzvot for parents of newborns. The rewards are many and the only cost is your time. Contact Marilyn Wittner through the Synagogue Office for more details.
Volunteer Opportunity
The Faith Café (Kennedy Blvd, just east of Dale Mabry) is looking for volunteers on Wednesday & Thursdays, 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM. The Café, serving 75-120 daily, is run by a group of South Tampa churches with food from Metropolitan Ministries. To learn more, contact Norma Weinman at (813) 879-8780.
Rosh Chodesh - It’s a Girl Thing
New YAD group for women ages 21-45 will start on September 1 at 7:00 PM and will meet monthly thereafter. The group will explore topics of spirituality and/or secular subjects within a Jewish context. To sign up, please contact Iris Ruth Pastor, (813) 769-2813 or by email. Don’t delay as the group size is limited to 30.
Mom's Morning Out (MMO)
MMO is a morning program for children 15 months through 30 months (and walking). Like Lunch Bunch, it is designed for parents who need to do some errands, go to an appointment or just want some time for themselves. During MMO, staffed by two experienced preschool teachers, children play in a developmentally appropriate classroom, have a snack, go to the playground, read stories, sing songs and even do an art project. MMO will be offered at all three JCC preschools on Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 14 through August 6 from 9:00 AM to noon. The cost is $30 per morning for JCC members; $35 per morning for non-members. Tampa Jewish Family Services (TJFS) has many programs, including counseling, Senior Services, TIKVAH presentations (for families with special needs children), Hebrew Loan Program (HeLP) and a community food bank to help families in the Bay area. Women’s League of Conservative Judaism Survey
The League is trying to find out what women in the Conservative Movement need and/or want. The survey from the latest edition of "CJ: Voices of Conservative Judaism", can be accessed at www.wlcj.org.
Lasting Honor to Your Loved Ones
Congregation Rodeph Sholom has many ways for you to create lasting tributes to your loved ones and help your congregation at the same time. There are several different levels of donations to fit all budgets. Please consider adding a leaf for $100 or a rock for $500 to The Tree of Life in the Social Hall. Yahrzeit Plaques in the sanctuary or a chair plaque in the Chapel are each $300. The new High Holiday Prayer Books are $40 and can be purchased in honor of a special simcha or in memory of someone—see below.

High Holiday Prayer Books, Machzor Lev Shalem (Full Heart)
With new translations, readings and transliterations built into the text and commentaries that explain prayer meanings will be available this year. Cost is $40. These prayer books will be available this year and can be purchased for donation to CRS in honor or in memory of loved ones or for home use. For more information, contact the office.
Sisterhood Mitzvah Project
Please bring donations to benefit Everyday Blessings; a non-denominational, non-profit child placement agency & residential group care program. Needed donations include pajamas (all sizes-children & adult), toilet paper, paper towels, baby wipes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, & books for all ages.
Sisterhood Torah Fund Campaign

Tampa-Job-Links
Rodeph Sholom is joining with other organizations and synagogues in our area, as a founding community partner, to show our concern about the hardship that unemployment has caused. Tampa-Job-Links is a non-profit, non-sectarian initiative of the Tampa Jewish community that helps people find work by providing job seekers with networking services to business leaders and employers.
