Caring Committee
The Caring Committee was created to provide comfort and fellowship to the members of our Rodeph Sholom family during certain life-cycle events. Thanks to the leadership of our volunteer coordinator of Rodeph Sholom’s shivah calls, Bond of Life books and kugels are delivered to bereaved families. Another volunteer coordinates the baking of these kugels, and a third committee volunteer inscribes the books. One of our volunteers writes Mi Sheberach notes to those who are ill. Two other volunteers coordinate visits to Rodeph Sholom’s shut-ins, so that additional light and joy is brought to those who can no longer get about as freely as they once did. The volunteer coordinator of Jewish baby book deliveries provides families with these special acknowledgements of the new Jewish lives in their midst. In all, over 30 individual volunteers work in an ongoing way to make Rodeph Sholom’s members feel more connected to their congregational family. What a special mitvah!! If you would like more information about becoming a part of this effective, nurturing community outreach committee, please contact Iris Pastor.
